Pizza and potato chips

As kids we would put potato chips and mayonnaise between two slices of Wonder Bread. Kids do weird things, but it was good at the time. Another one is a peanut butter and potato chip sandwich. Never have tried it with pizza. Sounds kind of good.

Potato chips kicks ass with umami things. Pizza is loaded with potential umami ingredients - cheese and tomatoes right off the bat. Try potato chips with arare (Japanese rice crackers coated with soy sauce).

Potato chips on pizza? I've never done that.

However, I often have potato chips on the side when I eat pizza. Just did that last night. Got home from the bar, ordered a pizza and broke open a bag of kettle chips. One of my favorite pizza joints gives you a bowl of chips along with your pizza if you eat in the restaurant.
