A bar for dinner near Livingston with good food and the NFL draft on TV?

Is it too far for you to shoot out to Miami Mike's in East Hanover? I couldn't think of a better place to watch the draft tonight. Hopefully, Sanu will be going early in the second round.

Thanks for the idea, but I was shooting higher for food. Anything closer to Livingston than Tierney 's in Montclair?

As a Giant fan, I would not mind Sanu, but I don't think he will last to our pick.

Any new ideas from people getting home from work? Only a couple of hrs to go.

How about the Hat Tavern in Summit?

We ended up at Cocobello, a nice Italian restaurant that is the closest restaurant to our home so I could get back in time for the draft. Recommend the duck and lamb specials we had. Also enjoyed our BYO Rosso di Montalcino, relaxing for a successful Giants' draft.

For next time, where is the Hat Tavern in Summit, Curlz?

I googled the Hat Tavern and it looks terrific. Will try and will post!

For those who don't know, it's in the Grand Summit Hotel. Nice bar and restaurant, and they do some things well. I haven't been in back in a few months, but as I recall, they've got good burgers, interesting beer (I often go w/a friend who's serious about beer), and they do a lot of promo/theme nights tied to food.
