21st birthday dinner in sf, 14 foodies attending
im turning 21 in less than 2 weeks. Everyone knows to meet in SF on Sunday the 6th of may, but the restaurant choice is still pending, because of my indecision. My favorites or birthdays in the past have been Delfina, Incanto, Allegrias... I'm loving the Tapas idea, but am open to anything fun with the potential to order a drink with dinner. Price should be reasonable, like nothing exceeding like $60 a person... It's going to be my family, my boyfriend and his family, and they haven't really met eachother in the 2.5 years we've been together so I'm feeling the pressure to pick a restaurant that will be fun and relaxing, and sustain our big group.
Thanks sf chowhounds!!
Hopefully the 2 week time limit won't be too prohibitive. For that large a group, be wary of what Opentable says is unavailable, and give a phone call to any suggestions that look good.
Looking on what's free on opentable.... if you're desperate, Andalu isn't great, but does small plates, a few of which are pretty good. You might also call a few Izakaya places, which are fun small plate Japanese places. I can't recommend any places in SF, but it looks like Chotto and Nombe have openings that evening (search here for previous reports of them and other places)
If they can accommodate (call them) Bar Agricole has great mixed drinks, small plates, and you can get out of there for under $60/person.
