Does anyone have a recipe of a good apple fritter?
I just dip lightly flour dusted apple slices into a batter and fry. Drain and dust with powdered sugar.
I usually wing it, but it always goes something like this: http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/11/app...
(unless you're looking more for the deep-fried donut type.
Try a funnel cake batter with bits of apple added. Pipe into hot oil using a piping bag with large tip and pipe the batter streams more closely together than you might when making funnel cakes.
