Bibimbap

(This thread was split from http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8404... -- The Chowhound Team)

Here, my bimbibap -- what would have been my dinner. So sad.
(the photo of the refrigerated bimbibap. Once they heat up, they look much better).

I know the mods will delete or move this, but can you post your bibimbap recipe? just got a stone bowl for cooking 'em for my bday.

I am somewhat new to bimbibap. My bimbibap is based on Maangchi's recipe:

      http://www.maangchi.com/recipe/bibimbap

With one major exception: I didn't use ground beef. I made bulgogi beef using sliced ribeye -- sold from Korean H-mart supermarket. I made bulgogi just because the Korean restaurants I have been to use bulgogi instead of ground beef for bimbibap. In addition, bulgogi just tastes better to me.

My bulgogi recipe is based on this one:

Why? Because Japan has better knives and animations? :)
