Gift Baskets- just the basket please

We will be in Manhattan this weekend and will be bringing back various baked goods and pickles for friends. Where can I buy cheap baskets to hold the goodies? Canal Street? Is there anything near the Hi Line or Murray Hill? thanks!

Chelsea Market Baskets has lovely baskets, but they're actually fairly pricey. If you want cheap ones, look in the Flower District on West 28th St. There are tons of little stores selling flowers, plants and related accoutrements (baskets, ribbon, ornaments, etc...). The Flower District is very close to Chelsea Market so you can compare prices and also fill whatever baskets you end up buying with goodies purchased in Chelsea Market. (To orient you, both Chelsea Market and the Flower District are close to the Highline, within an easy walk.)

I'm so glad it worked out for you! What delicious things did you end up filling our baskets with?

You should be able to find some empty baskets in Chelsea Market Baskets inside of Chelsea Market.

Otherwise, there is a Container Store at 629 6th Ave (18th).
