Papa's Taverna (near Petaluma)

Papa's Taverna is a Greek roadhouse on the Petaluma River. It's been there a long time and is on its (at least) second set of owners. I've always liked the slightly-seedy location and space, sort of like a river marina should be, but I never cared much for the food. I keep trying, though. I went there for the first time in a long time on Sunday afternoon and the Pork Pita ($10) was just fine, as was the salad I had instead of french fries. It wasn't Fremont Diner-quality food, but that's OK with me. It was fine for what it is and I look forward to trying more of their offerings in that great location and space.

A few photos. (There were way more chunks of pork inside the pita than are visible in the photo; they were hidden inside.)
