Vegas recommendations: NEED HELP!

Hey everyone... I am going to Vegas for my first time over memorial day weekend with 5 guys all in our early to mid 20's. We are staying at planet hollywood and would love some great dinner recommendations. I know the strip is expensive which limits our options but either way we are looking for a good restaurant on the strip with $30-$40 max entrees excluding drinks. We are open to any cuisine as long as it's on the strip. Some places we were considering were:

Fiamma Trattoria & Bar at MGM

Olives at the Bellagio

Spaggo at the Forum Shops

Public House at the Venetian

Out of these places, which do you guys like the best? Also is there anything better in this price range? Appreciate the response. Thank You!

  1. You might want to give Rao's at Caesers a try. Excellent "red sauce" style Italian outpost from the famous NYC restaurant. With your price range, you can order a bunch of different things and share. Most portions are family style.

I've heard very mixed things about Rao's. I know the one in New York and I've heard mixed things about that one as well haha but I'll look into it. Thank you!

The food isn't life changing, but based on your restrictions, it's a solid choice for a group. You won't go hungry and there will be plenty of tasty options for everybody.

    2. Charlie Palmer Steak at he Four Seasons offers a "Cut of the Week" menu that's 3 courses pre-fixe and includes bottomless wine pairing for just slightly above your range. I loved the service and the food last time I was there.
I would skip Olives as I've heard mixed reviews of it...and I'm not a Todd English fan.
Lunch at Fogo de Chao will meet your budget and ensure that you are thoroughly stuffed for the remainder of the day.
I love Burger Bar inside the Mandalay. Fresh ground burgers, alcoholic milkshakes, foie gras...what more would you need?
I've been told that China Poblana is quite good...and I love Jose Andres' food.
If you're willing to go off-Strip, Raku and Lotus of Siam are James Beard caliber Vegas gems.
