Central/West Toronto CSA pick-up/delivery

Hullo Chowhounders!

I know there have already been several other threads regarding CSA programs in Toronto, but none of them really contain all of the details I need to make a decision!

I had a CSA share with Kawartha Ecological Growers last year and loved it. I could get to the pick-up location (Grace and Harbord) on the TTC on my way home from work and it wasn't too far (i.e. walking distance) from home at Ossington and Dundas. I also loved the variety (veggies, fruit, herbs) and that we had $10 per week to spend on "extras" which included meat, eggs, jams, maple syrup, etc.

I was planning to go with them again this year, but they've changed their "central" pick-up location to somewhere completely out of the way for us (the Boys and Girls Club near Dupont and Palmerston) and neither of the other locations work for us at all.

Is there another CSA program with available pick-up or delivery in this area of the city?! I don't know what to do and I want my tasty local foods again this Summer!!

i've been using green earth organics. i get the more generic $37 bin (which contains a lot of local) but they have a local bin as well. you can check out their weekly bins online and see if it's to your liking: https://toronto.greenearthorganics.co...

they deliver to your door, and so far it's been great.

Yeah, I've looked into Green Earth Organics before... I'm more interested in CSA programs than grocery delivery services. I'd like to support an individual farm or group of farmers. I'd like to able to order eggs and meat/chicken as well...

you can order meat and eggs and other stuff from green earth organics, but you're right that it's not a csa.

I used Plan B Organics in the past. It is a CSA program. They have a pick-up close to Bloor/Dundas. It looks like they also have a pick-up at Bloor/Islington.

It's been a few years so I can't comment on quality.

If you're still at Ossington and Dundas, Kawartha CSA has a pickup at the Depanneur which is close by at College between Dufferin and Dovercourt.
