Should you find yourself traveling on I-75, between Atlanta and Macon, and want a really good southern style all you can eat buffet; I highly recommend this place.

The quality and variety of the food we had there today was way, way above what I expect for this type of place. We arrived at a perfect time, just beating the church crowd to a table. No doubt it would not have been as good an hour or two later.

Just way better food and more thoughtful preparation than is typical for this kind of place. Very nice people running it as well.

I'm editing to add the fact that when I say a good variety I am not talking about the Ryans/Golden Corral type place where they have a hundred yards of steam tables filled with dreck. This is a small place probably couldn't fit more than 50 or so people in it at a time. Still they had 4-5 meat choices, fried and baked chicken, chicken baked in dressing, pork loin, pulled pork, salisbury steak and gravy.

  1. Little places like that are so great. A while back another regular poster (maybe mikeh? Or carolinadawg?) spoke to the fact that a buffet is not always bad. Sunday dinner is meant to be like at home, where you need to get a little bit of everything on your plate. It's nothing like the yipes that is those huge buffet houses.

Sounds like you had a great trip.
