Matsukawa and other "introduction only" restaurants

I just learned that Matsukawa, where I was planning to eat soon, use the "introduction only" system for reservations. I'm very curious about this restaurant, since the chef previously worked at Seisoka, which I loved, and it's ranked pretty high on Tabelog now.

Considering I don't live in Japan and still speak very limited japanese, how can I book in such an exclusive place? How difficult it actually is to get in these "introduction only" restaurants, like Matsukawa and Kyo-aji?

As I'm going to several restaurants, I was thinking about asking another chef to help me, but this may be embarrassing... Any suggestions?
