If French-Vietnamese counts, you should consider Ma Peche. Nice looking restaurant, moderate prices and fantastic food!

How would Omai rate as far as food and atmosphere?

Omai is not pan Asian, it's Vietnamese and the restaurant is charming, small but upscale. The food is refined with high quality ingredients.

Ma Peche is excellent as long as you know what you are getting into. It's not super traditional or cheap. The room is kind of bland. The sensibility is Momofuku meets Midtown. The raw bar is excellent. The vegetable sides are consistently delicious. The proteins are usually generously portioned and of high quality (like Elysian Fields lamb). I would, however, classify it on the upper side of moderate.
