Most Recent Saveur/Bon Appetit Covers
Why do these prominent food magazines both currently have baguettes on their covers? It seems so odd to me that these two rival magazines would have virtually the same cover. I subscribe to Saveur so I know that they've got bread recipes in there, as well as a discussion of the current make-your-own bread fad, but what is BA doing? Any one know?

I just received the BA this morning, so I haven't had time to crack it open. I didn't see anything about the best baguettes in America on the cover, but it's their travel issue and the big headline was something about an insider's guide to Paris, so I assumed that's why they had the baguettes. (I don't get Saveur, so I don't know how closely the two covers resemble each other.)

I got my May 2012 Saveur (my chosen "food porn" mag) today, and I too don't get BA. But you can see the BA table of contents at http://www.bonappetit.com/magazine/to... -- where I see they have an article on "The Best Baguettes in America". So it seems a rather different focus.
