Soft Shell Crabs

I think soft shell crabs are in season now. Good spots to enjoy these? Any kind of preparation. Preferably available for lunch.

Rodney's By Bay just announced that soft shell crabs will be available this Wednesday.

I'm waiting for Starfish to tweet that they've received their soft shells, which I'm guessing will take place mid-late May.

If I understood correctly last year, the Florida-sourced soft shell crabs are ready this time of year, and the Chesapeake Bay and other Maryland Virginia-sourced soft shell crabs are ready in mid-late May.

Maybe you could try emailing or calling Diana seafood restaurant. I got an email saying the store has soft shells, maybe they will fry some up in the restaurant.

Sometimes - they'll announce on twitter in the days leading up to the weekend if they got the goods. Don't see anything for this weekend (though they have their waffles tonight!)
