ISO nice lunch in Providence on a Friday
Hello 'hounders,
It's been +5 years since I have lived in Providence but am coming through in a few weeks, and wanted to stop somewhere nice and treat myself to lunch. Perusing the boards has led me to Nick's, or possibly Cafe Nuovo. It's a bit of a disparity - honestly, I am looking for a place to settle in, have a nice leisurely lunch with wine, and price is not an object. I will probably head to College Hill for a little walk down memory lane, but lunch doesn't need to be right in the neighborhood. Any other recs, ideally new ones? It seems like a lot of places that get love on this board (Gracie's, La Laiterie, etc.) are unfortunately dinner only.
Thanks!

Without even reading your entire post, I was going to say Nick's. BUT La Laiterie does have counter service at lunch - not their dinner menu, but they have interesting sandwiches and a soup of the day. I think it's quite good - and the chips are amazing (not sure what kind of fat they're fried in, but whatever it is, it's good!).
