Love Fordees for Felafel and Demo's for Kebabs.

Sounds like Roksana's is also a good bet: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/7946...

        thanks for all your suggestions.

went to Fordees for chicken shawarma wrap at the suggestion of the gentleman at the counter, a chicken kabob wrap and a dozen falafel to take home which were enthusiastically enjoyed by all except my 11 year old daughter who gave it a try but decided she doesn't like falafel.

          Ditto on Fordee's for felafel.

Big fan of Demo's for Kebab's, also their black eyed pea soup is awesome.

Strong agreement with both of these. Now that Boston Kabob Company in Allston is around, Fordees has only my second-favorite falafel in town, but it's still a fine falafel. And the lamb kebab and fries at Demos is great comfort food for me.

I had an opportunity to try the lamb shish kebab at Demo's this weekend, and they really lived up to my expectations set by you and Jenny O.
The lamb was cooked perfect, and had a very nice aftertaste to it that lamb sometimes has for me. It's hard to explain, but I almost didn't want to eat anything else, or brush my teeth before I went to bed that night it tasted so damn good.
I just wish I remembered about the black eyes pea soup, but there will be a next time.
              Thanks

Jasmine House of Kebabs on Mt Auburn near teh Armenian grocers and and New place opening on Mt Auburn near Watertown Square (not sure if it's open yet). Also Demos cheap but only so so.

Fordee's on Mt. Auburn St. for falaffel. They probably have kabobs but I'm not positive. If they do, I bet they're pretty good.

I agree, Fordee's is the go to place in this area for Falaffel. Great, fast and inexpensive.
