Are you making a specialty food?

Dearest Chowhounders:

The parents and I are going to be in town for my bar swearing-in ceremony, but we're not looking for a "celebration" restaurant (unless the food is amazing, that is).

We're staying downtown, eating on Sunday night, and we're looking for a place reasonably close by. Any suggestions? We're open to all styles of cooking.

Jack's is your place. Hangout for politicos, although not particularly on Sunday nights, 2nd oldest restaurant in the country, they claim, after Antoine's, pretty good food and drink, near your hotel.

New World Bistro on Delaware, Capriccio and Yono's would all fit the bill.

Second NWBB, Cafe Cappricio and Yono's/dp. Cafe Capriccio and Yono's are downtown.

Yono's/dp might not be open on Sundays:

          NWBB is:

          Congratulations! Happy eating :)

I was going to suggest 677 Prime or Taste but they're both closed Sundays. So I'll agree with the others that Jack's or NWBB would be great choices.
