My favorite burger fast-food burger joint in the LA area. It would be my go-to place instead of In-N-Out or Fat Burger except that they only have a few locations in LA. Burgers, onion rings and milkshakes are all very good here. Burgers taste fresh and charbroiled. The mocha milkshake is especially good, and ranch dressing with onion rings is always a winning combo. Don't recall being overly impressed with their french fries but they're good enough.

The burger is good... but i HATE that they use shredded lettuce. It's the WORST thing for a burger cooked fresh because it just gets steamed and slimy. If you take such CARE with your burger, put on proper lettuce, not something from out of a sysco bag.

It's nothing special; just an ordinary burger. I've had it more than once from 2 different locations.

re: PommeDeGuerre
Sorry for the delay in responding PDG; we just moved to Vegas and finally got unpacked. The 2 locations are Encino and Woodland Hills. They serve a fairly typical chain burger. A much better burger can be had at the 'non-chain' Boulevard Burger on Ventura in Woodland Hills. You can't beat the price.

We love The Habit. The original store opened in Santa Barbara in the '70's. Sold out about ...5 years ago, but corp. owner has kept good food and 'the spirit' of the place. The originators have since opened a closely related concept.
I used to drive my brother back to UCSB on Sunday evenings, and we always stopped there. Good burgers, good other stuff. We eat at local store at least once a month.
Having said that, I hope this latest expansion drive doesn't ruin it all.
