Supreme Dragon is Now Supreme De Dragon But King of Shrimp Roll Is More Interesting

Supreme Dragon in the Rowland Heights Hong Kong Market shopping center is now called Supreme De Dragon, and for those of you who have read my past ruminations on how and why Chinese restaurants change names, I'm speechless. The semi-faded exterior "Supreme" and "Dragon" signs have been moved apart for the insertion of a bright new "De" sign, and the color contrast is quite noticeable. Inside, the food seems to be the same as before.
The big news is inside the former bowling alley, where something called King of Shrimp Roll has opened up in the unenclosed space where the Vietnamese restaurant used to be. King of Shrimp Roll is a Taiwanese snack and tepanyaki combo restaurant, whose signature dish is the shrimp roll. What is a shrimp roll? I don't know for sure, but based on the pictures it seems to be a Taiwanese chicken roll filled with shrimp instead of chicken. They also sell pork rolls along with other items including pork chop rice and turkey (??) rice. Me, I had popcorn chicken's lesser known cousin, popcorn fish. It was actually quite good, made with large cubes of meaty fish. King of Shrimp Roll is Space #14 at 18438 Colima Road.
