Too bad - especially considering what's taking its place. But not the same post-Sandy Shea, IMO.

It is so sad... and what a lame use of that lovely space in it's next incarnation.

I have had a few very memorable meals there.

Does anyone know WHEN it's closing? Nothing on their website about it yet...

Nothing on their website too. Article is vague too: "No word yet on the closing date and whether relocation is a possibility. Sandy Shea, Chez Shea's founder sold the restaurant in 2004, and Tomoyo Ikawa, the current owner, declined to comment."

Maybe it's not that immediate, perhaps I have a chance to squeeze in a dinner there in the next little while :-)

I'd sure try to get in before it closes, Lotus. It's one of Seattle's loveliest dining spots and the food is always wonderful.

Maybe Christy319 can mod the thread title to show the date ?

I won't be able to make it down before then :-(

The time to edit my post is long past unfortunately.

Bummer it is so soon--I don't think I'll be able to squeeze in another happy hour. They had one of the best happy hours around.
