Round table for 10 that's not Chinese?

cath116 Apr 16, 2012 07:04 AM

Trying to organize a book group dinner for 10 women of a certain age. There will be laughter, so a private room is preferred. Would like round table so we can all talk. Mid-level budget. Group wants to stick to Brookline or Newton. Any suggestions?

Batting .500, I can suggest for mid-budget and private room the Stockyard in Brighton. Not round tables and not in Brookline or Newton.

Practically Newton - Solea in Waltham is good for groups.

I think Eastern Standard can help you here. Just a couple of blocks outside of Brookline.......

          I second ES for this.

Eastern Standard may be on the high end of mid-level, but if the prices are ok, that could definitely work for you. If you don't mind going old-school and totally casual, the Chateau in Waltham has large tables in their rooms, and at least a couple of their rooms have more of a private feeling than the others.

you could get a private tatami room (with foot wells) at Fugakyu. not round, but... comes with projector system. what happens in Fugakyu, stays in Fugakyu.
