Best nova and bagels near Chelsea

Looking for a sit down deli where I can get the best nova and bagel sandwich near Chelsea. Willing to travel if needed

I have been very happy with the lox and bagels at The Corner Cafe, on 6th Ave. at 24th St. It's also a comfortable place to sit.

Haven't had the lox there (I'm the only Jew on the planet who doesn't eat salmon), but their bagels are fantastic!

Murray's

Best in City is not sit down. And not in Chelsea. i.e Russ and Daughters.

There are tables at Murray's in Chelsea. Counter service only, but definitely tables. See below. And as far as I know, it's the best in Chelsea (and a contender for anywhere).

Second Russ & Daughters. The weather's nice, too, so you can grab your bagels to go and sit in the little park at 1st & 1st. Lovely way to spend a morning.

Barney GG and Russ & D (no tables but you acn eat in the park across the street) have fabulous Nova and delicatessan but neither place makes their own bagels. The bagels are good at both.
For superior bagels and good Nova etc.. I'd go crosstown to Ess-A-Bagel on 1st Ave.
In a perfect world I walk down to Ess-A for a bagel or to Kossar's for a bialy and over to Russ & D for the fixins and make my own.
Not that food is important to me!!
