Looking for Dinner near the Swan & Dolphin - Orlando
Next week I'll be held hostage at the Swan and Dolphin (conference). I've been to the Blue Zoo and liked it, but would like to try some other places off-property. I don’t have a car and would like to avoid long cab rides. I've been to Café Tu Tu Tango and The Funky Monkey and liked both of them, but they seem to be a 20-minute ride away. Is there anything non-Disney that's close to the S&D? Any cuisine is fine except seafood, and I'm trying to keep the max entrée price in the mid 20's.

Second Yosemite Sam's reco of La Luce. Another great place to try is Raglan Road in Downtown Disney. The food is stellar, and the atmosphere quite fun. I took several co-workers there during a conference in January and we had a great time.
You can take the Disney bus from S&D over to Downtown Disney.

The Swan-Dolphin is smack in the center of Disney property, V, so you're a 15-minute cab ride minimum from any independent restaurant. If you want to leave the hotel, you can walk around the boardwalk to the restaurants at the BoardWalk Inn and the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. You can stroll to Epcot if you have a pass. You can take a bus to Downtown Disney, where there are a bunch of restaurants--Wolfgang Puck, House of Blues, Portobello, etc. Or maybe you can go to Celebration. Celebration Town Tavern and Cafe d'Antonio are ok choices. You'll need a car or a longer cab ride to get to our top picks though.
