Good food Entrees under 20 5 minute walk from Columbus Circle

anyone have a restaurant that meets this criteria?

  1. Go one block west to 9th Avenue. I don't think you can find many entrees ABOVE $20 there. Provide more criteria for better recommendations.

Type of cuisine? (this area has them all!)

Most of those places are more like a 10 minute walk. And I walk very, very fast.

Well, the two of us could probably make it in 5 if we didn't have to dodge pedestrians and wait at traffic lights. :)

    2. Within five minutes walking radius, you might have to set aside the Chowhound standard of "good" and settle for something that's just "not bad". :) ABA Turkish restaurant fits the bill. A friend and I went for a snack after returning rental bikes to a store a few doors down and I remember liking the fried liver appetizer. They have some ridiculously well priced prix fixe dinner menu (which I didn't try) and IIRC, was BYOB when we visited last year.

I think ABA is good. Not great but good. Kathryn's suggestion of Szechuan Gourmet - providing the diner sticks to Sichuan dishes - is best, though. My only problem with that restaurant is that they use so much hot oil, I can't sleep all night. :-)

I agree. Szechuan Gourmet is a good suggestion!

      2. Szechuan Gourmet on West 56th?
