It's Not Only You Any More--Now It's 100
It will come as no surprise to Tony C that Only You Dumpling House is already gone as I think he was predicting its demise during its soft opening. However the manner of what happened might be a surprise. The sign outside now says 100 Dumpling House, and the new take out menus proclaim "Grand Opening." But this looks suspiciously like the same crew inside with a similar, though notably shorter menu. Most noticeably gone are some of the pan fried steam buns, though regular shen jen bao is still on the menu. But they still have over 30 dumpling choices, including a couple of "cummins" varieties. And if the fish dumplings weren't so gummy they'd be pretty good. 100 Dumpling House is at 331 W. Garvey Ave. in Monterey Park.
