Probably too late here, but for cheap-ish and veggie options, I was thinking Middle Eastern- you can usually get creative with the menu on a budget. La Marsa is at Drake and Grand River. Al Oumara in Bloomfield might be too far west, I'm not totally sure of your route.

I was gonna say the same - any middle eastern restaurant will have lots of veggie choices; I would suggest Kabob Grille at 10 mile & Evergreen, or Pineland at 12 mile & Farmington. If you're not picky about atmosphere, there's always Mr Kabob at 12 Mile & Coolidge, inside the gas station - it's owned by the same people as Kabob Grille.

There's Shield's Pizza on Telegraph just north of 10 Mile Road.

NeeHee's ... It is a quick trip down I275 to Ford & Canton Center, NW corner. All vegetarian, I think, big favors, cheap. No liquor.

re: rainsux
Country Day's campuses are actually located in Bloomfield Hills and Beverly Hills, which unfortunately makes NeeHees's about a thirty minute drive.
Their really aren't many decent restaurants around there outside of Beverly Hills Grill. IndyGirl, how far are you willing to travel?

Since I've no idea where you'll actually be, I'll just go by the Farmington Hills address and suggest Zayeqa on Orchard Lake Rd just south of 13 Mile. It's a hole-in-the-wall to be sure, with a very cramped and very basic dining area (which I'd hesitate to call a dining room!), but the south Indian-Pakistani food is very good. Nihari, just up the road at 13 MIle (behind the gas station) serves similar food in a nicer setting but the prices are a bit higher.
