Tori Shin vs Takashi??!!

Have made dinner reservation at Tori Shin.

However, after watching Bourdain's latest 'Layover', where he was 'moaning and groaning' about the to-die-for food at Takashi, I am thinking about changing my chow-venue. Shall I??!! Any fellow chowhounder eaten in both and can provide me with some advise about the food?! Yup! Just the food! Don't care about ambience, service, price....etc.

  1. Takashi only takes reservations for 4+ people.

    How many people are in your party? What day of the week are you going?

    On a Monday night a few weeks ago, every seat was full already by 7pm. I've heard of waits up to 4 hours on weekends.

      We'll be sticking with Tori Shin. Takashi's 'all beef' menu is too much for my wife!

        They do have seasonal vegetables, which are very good -- at least as good as the meat, actually.

        Takashi does have long waits, and I walked away a few times because of that. But t found, that at 6:15 PM I was able to be seated immediately. Two times that was the case

          Your clothes and hair also unfortunately reek of beef fat after a dinner there, which is a bit of a bummer.
