Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce in Toronto?

  • 6

Does anyone know where I can find these in Toronto? Preferably on the east side of Toronto or in Durham but I will travel for them and just stock up. I used to be able to buy them in regular grocery stores but cannot find them anymore.

  1. My local Metro has them in the mexican food section. I think that any larger supermarket with an ethnic foods aisle would have them.

    1. This question was just asked a month ago. They are in every major grocery store I've been to (Loblaws, Metro, Longo's).

      1. heathercheryl, if you are looking for them in Durham region, you may be SOL.

When last I visited my folks, I stopped by Highland Farms at Ellesmere and Kennedy, and believe that they had them. Also you may want to try the Wal Mart on Brock road in Pickering, you can sometime get lucky there.

Other than that, you may want to talk with Darryl at Bustery Rhino's. He dries his own chipotle's, but he is a font of information, and may know of other places East of Scarborough that sell chipotles

        1. I am not sure exactly what Durham means to you, but the Freshco on Kingston near White's has chipotles where they keep the taco fixings. I have also bought them at No Frills and as mentioned they would have them at Loblaws as well.

          1. I've had very good luck finding them in the "ethnic/international" aisle of Food Basics (usually stocked in small cans near the Tostadas and Salsa/Salsa Verde).

            1. Small cans of La Costena brand are available in most groceries and in many Wallmarts. Very good and spicy. Freeze any leftovers once opened.
