How do you rotate photos which you've uploaded onto Chowhound?

There are a few photos for my various reviews which need to be turned 90-degrees. Is there a way to do so?

You need to download a photo editing program such as IrfanView. I've been using it for years with great success...

Irfanview is really meant for pc users.

For Macs try GraphicConverter (GC) (http://www.lemkesoft.com/).

You need to edit your images before uploading them to Chowhound.

I've used various versions of GC on my Macs for years and years, and used it as my default graphic editor and viewer >95% of the time. Photoshop is great but far more detailed and harder to use (and vastly more expensive); Photoshop Elements is fine w/ less detail but I still greatly prefer GC. [Older versions of stripped-down Photoshop (like those bundled with older scanners) are very useful for some of the image-editing tools in it (GC and Photoshop treats images differently) for simpler purposes.]

Thanks, huiray.. I do use a pc and that of course precludes me from even thinking about a mac...

I'm talking about photos which start out perfectly fine on my computer (and rotated to my satisfaction) which, for some reason during the upload process onto Chowhound, get turned 90-degrees.

            Ahh...that's different!

I assume you saved the rotated picture then uploaded the newly saved file? If the pic that appears on CH is rotated back to what it was then it is something that Engineering should look at. (If you rotated the pic but didn't save the rotated result and uploaded the (original) file then of course the uploaded pic will be the unrotated original)

Nope, sorry. Our photo upload tools are pretty bare-bones.
