Good breakfast on north Vegas strip?
Greetings Chowder heads ! I'm so excited to finally be on here (as opposed to lurking) with like minded people. I love each and every one of you more than the next.
So on my July trip, I have my wish list of dinner nights, mostly thanks to you guys: Tues- (still open) Wed-Robuchon Thurs-Raku (just to mix things up a bit) Fri-e by Jose
But what about breakfast?? Any good places within 30 min walking of Wynn ?
And finally, any small sandwich type places on the strip for lunch ? Had a hard time finding places last time and I hate the whole "lunch at a restaurant with dinner sized portions" type of crap.
Also any other ideas for a good Tues dinner ? Would have to be different type of food than Robuch ... although I may just do a steak place.

Excellent dinner choices (Robuchon, e by Jose Andres and Sage). Since you're staying at the Wynn, you should walk over to Bouchon in the Venezia Tower of the Venetian Hotel. If the heat is okay for you, walk along the strip, otherwise you can cross the street into the Palazzo, and (eventually) find your way into the Venezia Tower.

re: ellenost
Thx guys, great advice.
Any other breakfast place worth hitting? Not sure if Bouchon is do-able for 4 breakfasts in a row? Or am I wrong? I haven't even checked the prices, honestly. Is there still the Denny's beside Encore ?? In case my dinner craziness empties my coffers ;P
Wow.. just checked their brunch menu.. pretty extensive. Anyone had their Boudin ?

Wynn has a great Jewish Deli...Zazooo (sp) Crackers deli
Bouchon at the Venetian has a fab breakfast.
Country Club at the Wynn for dinner is quite good too.
July in Vegas is brutally hot..30 minutes walking on the strip at over 115+ degrees.
Make sure you hit up Lotus of Siam for lunch!›2 Replies-
re: Beach Chick
Tut tut, my love! Still thy trembling lips. Tho shalt not sully dinner with anything other than top recommendations. (translation- I'll prob skip CC at Wynn since there are other places I wanted to try, heh)
Yea, Lotus sounds great for lunch.. but sometimes an entire dish of Thai fills me up a little too much. Just need something to take the edge off until the time of the Rapture (read- dinner reservation, usually 8pm).
I like your suggestions for breakfast. And I love heat even more. I think maybe I'm cold blooded and unable to generate my own body heat :)

re: Beach Chick
I second Beach Chick's recommendation of Bouchon -- my favorite breakfast spot in town.
Tableau (at Wynn) was once my second favorite. Over time, its menu was dumbed down, and it went through a series of chefs. IIRC, it might even have been briefly renamed. Now it's back with another chef, and it seems there's hope for the menu again. It might be worth a try...
