Asheville food trucks

Where are they? we saw El Kim Chee on Saturday parked in front of Vinnies, but when we went back a little later, they were gone. Also saw none at the WEdge on SAt at lunchtime. I don't have a smart phone. Any ideas how best to chase these babies down?

    1. re: Sue in Mt P

I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but I got absolutely no information from that. They don't seem to post, except to mention a new facebook page called The Lot, which doesn't seem to exist. help me more, sue ;-)

The Lot exists! It's on Coxe Street - they're a good one to follow on FB as they are good about posting who is there every day. Today it's Lowdown, Our Taco and El Kimchi. I think most of them stay throughout the day on into the evening.

I also follow the individual food truck's pages FB sites since I'm not on Twitter. They definitely update every day.

All I know is the ones here will post daily regarding their whereabouts. I ain't tweetin' so I can't help you there.

        1. We checked out food trucks on Saturday. A bit rainy, so possibly not the best day for it.

At The Lot, there was Gypsy Queen, the grilled cheese place, and a taco truck. The only thing we got there was an herb/jamaica tea and a chimichurri chicken taco at the taco truck. Taco was fair as was the tea (mostly a big chunck of ice for $1.50). The other trucks looked tempting but we really wanted to try El Kimchi, so we drove over to Vinnie's on Merriman. I had the tofu and veggie dumplings which were pretty good but the sauce it came with was great! Husband had the beef bulgogi bipimbap (sp?) which was just delicious. We're big fans of El Kimchi now.
