Sweet Chinito [San Francisco] - La Lengua Chronicles Part 7

Date Dined 4/11/12

I stopped by this small cafe this morning for a breakfast sandwich, and it was really good!

I ordered egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel. When asked if I wanted to add avocado, I said yes - it wasn't really clear if this even costs extra. The resulting sandwich was fresh and hot - the bacon was crisp, avocado ripe. Cheese could have been a bit more melted, and the bagel was a typical California bagel (that's not Sweet Chinito's fault though), but for $4.75, it was a good deal and a hearty breakfast. Service was friendly too!

As far as I can tell, they do not have a website.

The sign is so prominent when driving Mission in either direction through that intersection, I've wondered about this place for years. Thanks for checking it out. Is it mostly a sandwich place?

They've got a pretty wide selection, primarily sandwiches, but also coffee/espresso, breakfast sandwiches, and shakes/ice cream.

Thanks, anything you order on a regular basis?

The deli sandwiches are solid, well-made deli sandwiches--nothing fancy, but well above the bar. The shakes are a great deal for less than $4. The croissant breakfast sandwiches (they bake the croissants and muffins themselves from what I assume is a mix or frozen state) can be pretty good. In general, everything is "made with care" and very fairly priced.
