Not impressed. Went for the first time last night and at 7PM, most tables were empty. The booths seemed to give off the image of an upscale friendly's. I had a few of the Ceviche and sashimi dishes. The Salmon I had was so oversalty that I did not even finish it. My friend had the "Wave Roll" which was 98% rice and 2% tempura shrimp with a dollop of sauce along with the Chili glazed Salmon which I tasted and it was so overcooked. The food is not worth the money when there are so many better places for fish.

They use the same sickly sweetish sauce for every cooked meat/fish item on the menu. Yeccch.

I've avoided this place since it opened, and you have confirmed my suspicions. I'm rarely a fan of chain "concepts", especially when there are authentic local choices within a short drive. Thanks for the review.

Kona grill is the TGI Fridays of sushi, awful food, cool indoor/outdoor bar

Exactly! Not even sure I would go back for the bar though.....either.
