Laguna Beach Recommendations - Healthy Eating

BIL has moved to Laguna Beach and his BD is coming up this month. I'd like to send him a gift card for a restaurant. He's increasingly crunchie, almost vegetarian, thinks organic supplements will save countless lives, has a Vitamix and uses it exclusively to make bright green smoothies <sigh> . He's also single and very hip. Any ideas for me?

Thanks so much for such quick replies! I just ordered a gift card from Zinc Cafe - it is about a 5 minute walk from his apartment I like that he can use the gift for meals or for 'ingredients'.

Although this is not a vegetarian restaurant, Broadway would be right up his alley. Plenty of veggie options and they are very accomodating. Fun crowd.

Not in Laguna Beach but True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach which is a short drive over might work. Zinc Cafe in both Laguna Beach and Corona Del Mar is a vegetarian cafe. Happy birthday to your vegetarian and hipster brother.
