Best Mexican Cuisine in Nassau County?

My cousin and I love anything spicy and we're looking for some true Mexican food. I haven't found anything locally that has really wowed my taste buds.

Technically, Los Compadres in Melville is in Suffolk but you can practically spit to the Nassau line. Well worth using your Suffolk County passport.

some "true" Mexican food is VERY spicy... the Yucatan makes plenty of habanero laced food.

anyway, the best I've found on LI is a little taqueria in Glen Cove:

Not to split hair--OK, to split hairs--but Tex-Mex Cactus Cafe is, well, Tex Mex, not Mexican. Nachos, burritos, chili, all very fine dishes but not truly Mexican.

you can easily avoid the nachos and burritos, and order the very authentic (Mexico City style), and very GOOD, tacos

Who has it spicy? I've failed so far in finding a Mexican place on LI that can kick up the heat (I mean, inducing sweat).

True Mexican food isn't terribly spicy, but you can find authentic fare at Little Mexico on Post Ave in Westbury. Besito in Roslyn is fancier and a bit more Americanized but still very good.

I second Caracara - have been there a few times and always like it. Besito is good too.
