BBQ Street - Yangon
BBQ Street is located on 19th street in Chinatown and consists of approx 20 shops (with indoor seating as well as street tables) serving charcoal BBQ food. As expected in Chinatown, flavours tend towards Chinese flavours, though more mainland in this case. Various non-grilled dishes are available.
Bottles of Johnnie Walker seem to be the drink of choice for a long evening camped on plastic tables eating freshly grilled food on a stick by the road. What could be better?
Ordering is straightforward - you are given a small basket to place your selected items in, prior to grilling and table delivery. Mandarin will do otherwise.
