Nice place to buy spirits in Nashville or Memphis

Hi,

I'm finishing up a road trip in Nashville and Memphis at the end of the week and would like to pick up a nice bottle of rye and maybe some tequila to take home with me. Doesn't need to be ultra-fancy, just a place with a couple of ryes to choose from. I'll be staying pretty near the center in both places, but will have a car, so can travel a short distance.

Any suggestions?

Buster's at Poplar & Highland has the biggest selection in Memphis. It's pretty centrally located. I also really like Forest Hill Wine Merchants at Forest Hill-Irene and Poplar in Germantown, but that is further out. Smaller selection but very well-chosen and a great, helpful owner.

Midtown Wine & Spirits on Church in Nashville has the best selection in the area. There's also Frugal McDougal on the corner of 8th & Divison, their prices are probably the best in town. They also have a very large selection, but not quite the same as Midtown.

I ended up going with Frugal McDougal, which was very close to my hotel and because I loved the name. It was perfect for my needs, so thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Loved Nashville - I'll write up the places we ate soonish.
