Streit's matzah practically free

queenscook Apr 9, 2012 07:13 PM

For anyone who may need more matzah for the rest of the chag:
I was at both a Pathmark and a Waldbaum's today, in the Whitestone/College Point areas of Queens, and both places were offering the five pound box of Streit's for free with ANY purchase. No minimum was stated at either store. They also had a number of other Pesach items on sale already, though nothing else was dirt cheap.

Waldbaums had some, but Pathmark was loaded with them.

I agree re: the lack of bigger markdowns, though I did buy a couple of packages of quinoa . . . who knows what the availability will be in the future.

i dont know if you head out to gourmet, but they had manishevitz cake mixes for .99
ive had pretty good luck with keeping them from one pesach to another, and am planning on heading back tomorrow to buy as many of the red velvet ones as they have left
        they were delicious

Plenty of markdowns in Shop Rite here in CT. Manishevitz and Kedem juices half price. Matza good till December 5 lbs 1.99. Try to get quinoa tomorrow morning but I think most of everything will be sold out.

Manage to get the Manishevitz pudding cake but it was $1.84. Didn't see the red velvet cake. New season sardines was $3.99 in one shop rite and I got the sardines for $1.68 in the other shop rite in the same area.
