Best Non-Adventerous Food In Manhattan

chris011001 Apr 9, 2012 01:26 PM

My wife and friend want to go out to an AWESOME meal for their 40th B-Day's.
They do not each foie, oysters, sushi or any offal. Many of the best places have raw fish on their tasting menus, which is a non starter.
Given all of this, where should they go?
I was thinking Craft (which they have been to already) or Del Posto, but wanted something different.
Please Help!

Most menus, if not all, have a few items that satisfy the less adventurous. Save Fedora, sushi places, etc I wouldn't even give it a second thought in deciding.

    Craft is great idea.
    Gramercy Tavern
    Mas (farmhouse)
    Gotham (though I've never been)

I have been to Gotham many times. Gotham would be an excellent choice. Tocqueville is good. and of course Jean Georges. You do not have to order the foie gras.
