Milan / Navigli district... one night, one dinner

Hey all. We have one night in Milan (midweek in May) and are looking for a great dinner / night out. I'm told that the Navigli district is a cool place to hang, and that there are a number of good places to eat and drink along the canal, or nearby. Any suggestions?? We're looking for romantic / fun / memorable...

I've heard good things about El Brellin (including here). Can anyone confirm or deny?
