In the Gazette this week, Lesley Chesterman reviews ice creams at eight parlours: Crème Glacée Bo-Bec, Havre-aux-Glaces, Kem CoBa, Leo le Glacier, Les Givrés, Crèmerie Meu Meu, Point G and Ripples.

Funny that Bilboquet wasn't included in the tastings - it just got a brief mention in the intro.

Maybe because Bilboquet has gone downhill in the past 8 years or so and is not worth waiting 30+ minutes in line for a sub par product. Kem Coba & BoBec on the other hand are worth the wait.

I agree that Kem CoBa & Bo-Bec are great but given the popularity of Bilbo would have expected it to be included. I'm just kind of curious as to how it would stack up against the ones she tested.

Just to let you know, Lesley Chesterman on her radio show Saturday did say she did visit Bilboquet for her latest ice cream tastings but didn't include them in the article, as she couldn't get some information from Bilboquet in time for her article. Lesley had on the owner of Ripples talking the whole hour on ice cream. Lesley gave the nod to Ripples for making the best chocolate ice cream in Montreal(their Ripples 6x.chocolate flavour)

Just had some tire d'érable ice cream and dark chocolate mousse ice cream too at Bo-Bec (Laurier & Chambord) - a great artisanal treat this summer-like evening.
