Non-vegetarian Restaurants with Good Vegetables

Seems to me, restaurants fall into two camps: strictly vegetarian places or places that focus on meat and starch, where vegetables are an afterthought. Sure, mixed green salads are great, but I hate that that's the only option some times.

Do you guys have any recommendations on some places (pref in BK, live in Carroll Gardens, or Manhattan) where vegetables aren't an afterthought and are given equal (or more equal) attention in terms of number of options and thoughtfulness of the preparation?

Try Colonie which is in your area too. They have a fabulous leek dish. Artichokes are always good.
