Byob in NYC

Elmstead Apr 8, 2012 05:08 AM

Staying here for a week and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good BYO restaurants in the City? Any type of cuisine. We are in based in Greenwich Village. Any good advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

This is covered often here. Also, most places allow BYOB for a corkage fee which varies. Somewhere on here (again try a search for 'corkage') a hound compiled a list of those fees at various top restaurants.

Here is one post of many that a search turned up:

I recommend La Sirene, a true BYOB with quite good French bistro fare. It's on Broome Street near Varick, in SoHo -- not too far from your Greenwich Village base.

I like Nook in Hell's Kitchen, a pretty quick subway ride away. It's tiny but they do do take reservations....call earlier in the day for a table.

Apiary is no corkage on Mondays, not far from where you are, and is fantastic.

So, what's the current deal with the number of bottles one can bring corkage free at Apiary these days?

Conducted a search for CORKAGE NYC.

            First ITEM:

Didn't investigate how current the list is, but it's a starting point.
