Recommendations for Restaurants with Gluten Free Menu Options

mgh1000 Apr 6, 2012 10:36 AM

I will be visiting Chicago Monday April 9th through Thursday April 12th. staying downtown/northside at the Ritz Watertower with my wife and daughter who both suffer from celiac's disease. Does anyone have recommendations of restaurants with gluten free/wheat free options? I realize that most restaurants have menu items that are gluten free, such as steak or fish. I was wondering if anyone knows of restaurants that serve gluton free pasta and pizza. I would love to find a gluten free deep dish pizza, but think that may be impossible. Also does anyone have a good Mexican recommendation that is not Fronterra Grill? Nothing wrong with Frontera, i just don't have reservations. Any help with any of this is greatly appreciated.

My sis-in-law with celiac's really enjoyed hub 51 when we took her there. Plus it's really hip.

I walk past it all the time when I'm in town, and yes it does seem pretty hip. Maybe this trip I'll actually check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
