Early solo dinner downtown?
Hello all,
Got a last-minute solo ticket for Waiting for Godot at the Mark Taper this evening. Would appreciate recs for an early dinner within walking distance before the show. Love Louie's but been there a million times already (that's my idea of walking distance).
Thanks in advance!

Just to add, even though these are probably a little farther, they each have a shuttle and bar menus that work great for solo dining: (1) Border Grill (I know it has its detractors, but I find the bar menu very reasonable, the food is reliable, and the shuttle is free); and (2) Chaya Downtown.

Blue Cow is the perfect place. Will be happy hour time (get the confit duck wings), there will very decent cocktails, and it's even closer than Louie. Unfortunately, you have to deal with the CPA suits, but... the food is even better than Mendocino's "sandos".
The ooey goeey cake, at $6, is probably the best dessert bargain at any sit-down restaurant in DTLA.
