nontraditional wedding cake

Hi every one,

I am getting married in July and I am looking for a non-traditional wedding cake. I love chocholate and rasberry mouse cake for flavor and I dont want fondant.

The venue is in King city On, and I live in north york. I talked to Dufflet, and they said that they can not do this falvor as wedding cake. I also tried Amadeus but they only do Fondant .

I went to chocolada and their falvor were basic.
i also have alimited budget. the number of guests are 4o-50 and I dont want to spend a fortune on the cake.Potentialy if I find something close to the venue that they deliver the cake for free , would be the best.

I am running out of options . I want a delicious cake and dont care much for the look. Any suggestions ??please help

My brother and his fiance are having a "cupcake" cake. IE. 150 cupcakes, stacked in the shape of a cake, with one large cupcake on top for them to cut .

We had our very non traditional cake made by Linda morganstern at "once upon a cake". She is outstanding. We framed the top of our cake. Linda is very creative. She has great ideas and was a pleasure to work with. She was not inexpensive. I believe she works from home. The cake was a wow!! N

For a multi-tier cake, mousse has trouble holding the weight of the upper tiers so it may not be structurally sound. If you expand your search criteria to say chocolate cake + raspberry buttercream, more options may be available?

If you like the Dufflet cakes, why not just order a few rounds of the cake you want and to make it fancier, you can have a trio (or however many) of cake stands at different heights or something?
