  1. hmmm, not riging a bell, unless they were talking about Bouchon (but that's not Robertson).

Maybe I answered my own question for once. Was it Sur Restaurant and Bar that someone mentioned before???

      Thanks.

Perhaps their crispy chicken. Have not dined there. Beautiful room. Very romantic. Sister to Villa Blanco perhaps the worst place in LA (Villa Blanco not Sur).

When Villa Blanca first opened I wanted to try it out ....their Chilean Sea Bass, actually, was really wonderful. Perfectly prepared.

Post the date and time. It was the last time it happened.

What is with the picture on their website??

Nothing has ever made me less interested in visiting a restaurant.

This website is what I would call Excedrin Headache #51 (and I like Lisa):)

                Lisa?

anyone know if sur restaurant is still open, it sounds like it is the blackberry cobbler from cynthia's on 3rd from the days of yore.

also, does anyone happen to know if cynthia's relocated anywhere else ? she may have not been the nicest of restaurateurs, but that cobbler was damn good.

also, yeah, the sur webiste is pretty nausueating. darn, the things we do for food.

          2. I doubt you mean the Ivy, but it is known for its fried chicken and is on Robertson.

              That is good chicken.

              1. re: Jwsel

Exactly! I love Ivy's fried chicken. Yes, it is on Robertson. Ivy's fried chicken is among the best in town.

              2. For sure you are thinking of the "Chicken Lady" on La Cienega. http://www.thechickenladycafe.com/def...

                1. I would guess the ivy too.
