Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel

Hi, we're arriving at MIA from New York next Tuesday afternoon and staying at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel overnight before our connecting flight leaves the next morning. We are hoping that we will find something decent (or better) to eat in the area. Our tastes and budget are pretty flexible. We're doing the reverse trip on Saturday April 21, coming in at about 8:30 PM and again staying overnight at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel before leaving the next morning. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Walking is tough. If you are willing to spend $30 on a cab ride ($15 each way), you should be able to reach the design district or midtown where you will have lots of options. If you are interested, do a search, as the options are many. These are the best food areas in miami right now.

Another alternative s the cab drive across the intercostal to south beach. Plenty of choices there, and many open late. Especially important for your northbound flies. You'll have south beach and Lincoln Road.

A somewhat shorter cab ride will take you to a red hot pop-up at Ponce de Leon & 8th St called Eating House. Coral Gable is your closest resturant rich neighborhood.

Thanks all. Given the fact that we have to get up at 4:30 AM for the flight out, I think we are going to be stuck with airport food and count it as one of the "costs" of "getting there".

Try Icebox and/or La Carreta, they are your best bets (terminal D).
