Special Dinner in Westchester

I want to take my pregnant wife for dinner for her birthday. We live in Scarsdale and usually go to Manhattan, but I'm thinking of staying up here since she can drive me home if I've had too much to drink? Any suggestions?

X2O is very good. If you want an extra special meal by the same owner you might consider going to Xavier"s in Piermont. I know it's not in Westchester; but it is a special place. .

Having celebrated a special dinner at x2o this evening - I have to say that our discussion after dinner agreed that the ambiance of Xaviers more intimate dining room allows for even more attentive service (if that is even possible in comparison) but we felt the food was more outstanding at X20!

I third the suggestion for Iron Horse. I think this place flies under the radar. Maybe a re-fresh of the dining room would waken interest and have more fall in love with the incredible food and service?

We had been away from Iron Horse for over year; no reason other than too lazy to drive to Pleasantville. we visted again a few weeks ago; still outstanding. give it a try.

Would second suggestion of Iron Horse Grill in Pleasantville. Excellent food and service and they will make it a very special occasion.

X2O or North would be my picks. We've had special meals in both places with little traffic hassle and no parking hassle. If you go to North, request the room upstairs, which is quieter and more intimate. If you go to X20, request a table away from the door to the terrace, which, by ,the way, has spectacular sunset views if you're there at nightfall. Congratulations to you and your wife!
