Looking for a nice restaurant in Utica or perhaps eastward

We will be attending my nephew's graduation from Syracuse noon on a Saturday, then driving 3+ hours to the Lake George area. Thing is, it's our anniversary, and I'd like to find a nice place to eat "along the way" which apparently means Utica since it doesn't look like the pickings are very good on our drive through the park though I'd be happy to hear of something. Please tell me if we're better off just blasting through to the North Creek area and eating when we get there. If in Utica, we can't do a three hour type dinner with tons of wine since we're driving, but I'd like to find a nice place for an early dinner or late afternoon lunch so we don't feel like we've completely missed our anniversary! Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is on your way, but it's not far from Utica (it's betwen the Fort Plain and Canajoharie exits on I-90). The food and setting are wonderful. Plus it's haunted! We had our anniversary dinner here and it was really delicious. I'm dying to go back but it's a far ride from Albany with the cost of gas these days.
